About the Multisports Games Area

The Village Hall Committee of Management is pleased to announce that the Multisports Games Area (MUGA) is open for use. This letter contains information on how it is run.

How much does it cost?

It is free to any user for casual play when the courts are not otherwise booked. To be able to book in advance, or play in a specific club, you need to take out an annual membership subscription as follows:

Adults - £15 per year ; Youths (12-16) and Concessions (Full time students/OAP) - £10 per year
Children (under 12) - Free ; Non village residents - add 50%.

This low cost is to encourage membership in the first year of operation, and recognises that it will not be a full season.. The money will be used primarily to maintain or improve the facility (eg resurfacing or net replacements), with any surplus being used by the Village Hall to support its objectives, which are to provide recreational facilities for the residents of Sutton Benger.

What are the times we can book the MUGA?

The facility is open to all, and bookable in advance (on notice board by gate) for those with annual membership, except as below. All other times bookable by subscribers and all subject to change.

Monday6 pm - dusk (5-a-side)
TuesdayTuesday 6-8 pm (Junior Cricket); 8 pm - dusk (5-a-side)
Thurday4-6 pm (Junior Tennis)
Sunday10 am -12 noon (Netball) 12-2.00(Basketball)

Any Rules?

The surface is robust and drains well, but will not withstand studs or spikes, nor can it take bicycles, skateboards or rollerblades, so those are strictly forbidden.

If individuals use the facility sensibly, the MUGA will remain permanently unlocked.
